I'm always looking for tasty ice cream treats during the summer. I try as hard as possible not to make an ice cream run to either Dairy Queen or a local Tasty Freeze-type shop down the street. When I do the run, I tend to get ice cream treats that are higher in calories than I should eat in one sitting. If you've ever looked through the nutrition info at Dairy Queen you will know that a small Blizzard can be up to 1,000 calories. Needless to say, I can do much better on my own at home. So, I found these babies at the grocery store about a month ago.
First up was the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Breyers Smooth & Dreamy bar. As you can see from the pic, there is 120 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. The ice cream was really smooth and creamy and had a great taste.
My other choice was the Vanilla Fudge Brownie sandwiches. These were excellent as well. A great chocolate flavor. Both of these treats are 3 Points on Weight Watchers. While I thought the treats were somewhat small when I first pulled them out of the box, they were definitely worth the points as sandwiches and bars like these at my grocery store can be at least 5 Points each.
As for my weight loss, I finally lost 3 pounds! My mom kept saying it would catch up and I'd lose after being stagnant for a whole month. I am so excited and hope I don't gain it back after eating July 4th snacks all weekend. We'll see.
Hope everyone had a great holiday! I'm back on track today and hope you are too.

The skinny cow truffle bars are pretty great also and they clock in at about 100 calories apiece.
